Accidents and the MSF
Recently Steve from Scooter in the Sticks and Modern Vespa took the ERC- Experienced Rider Course through the MSF - Motorcycle Safety Foundation. He said the class was great so since I took the BRC -Basic Rider Course last year, I figured I would see what was available in my area for the ERC. There was a class with a few slots still available for September 2nd 8AM-2PM. I'm booked and look forward to it. While looking over the MSF website I came across some great links I'd like to share with you:
MSF Guide to Group Riding Video - Preview 12 minutes - A must if you go on group rides with clubs or just some friends
You and Your Scooter - Riding Tips - 70 page booklet - This is new and I have just discovered it - It looks great from scanning through and is scooter specific
MSF Scooter School - Scoots are getting popular and now there is a specific class through the MSF in certain parts of the country
There have been a few scooter accidents the last few days and we all need to be extra careful and aware of our surroundings. This also prompted this posting about the MSF. If you ride on 2 wheels and have not taken the Basic Rider Course, STOP right now and go to the website to register for one in your state.
